Al Roker, explaining how the “Rokerthon” will divert storms around Newtown, OH.

Enough is enough. After Wednesday night’s clinic became the fourth straight Cincy SC event to be cut short by storms, the club decided to play its trump card.

Al Roker joins Cincinnati Soccer Club’s staff and brings with him a unique skill set that was missing from our other high-profile hires. Roker claims to be able to not only predict future weather, but also to divert storms around the Newtown, OH area using his patented “Rokerthon” meteorological flux capacitor.

Roker, who plans to continue working for the Today show “on the side,” is thrilled to be joining Cincy SC. “Epic is my middle name and I actually grew up in southwest England supporting the mighty Bristol Rovers. When I found out about the pulled pork BBQ at tryouts I knew this was a perfect fit.”

Cincy SC is thrilled to welcome Al and equally excited to announce that we’ll have no more weather cancellations for the rest of the season. #DareToBeEPIC Al!
