We’re excited to share with our current and future Cincy SC families some new leadership positions for a few members of our staff. These coaches have earned this additional responsibility and opportunity and we expect them to continue to make Cincy SC the most unique soccer community in Cincinnati.
BJ Durel – Director of High Performance
Coach BJ has been a major part of the development of our club since we started in 2015 — he was actually the first coach we hired! Coach BJ’s role will expand to work with boys and girls of all ages to improve the physical performance side of the game including speed, agility, strength, and coordination. Cincy SC also supports Coach BJ in his new venture as Founder/Director of Champion Elite Training, located in Amelia.
Erik Larson – Girls Technical Director
Coach Erik has also been with Cincy SC since the start and he continues to make a great impact on the technical development of our players. In addition to likely being the head coach of two teams, Coach Erik will also spend time helping out other girls team coaches in their development and the development of their players. He’ll continue to lead the design of our weekly session plans within our club curriculum.
Ross McIntosh – Boys Technical Director
Coach Ross joined us this Spring and immediately supplanted Coach Russell as the coach with the worst accent in the club (English accents are WAAAY better than Scottish accents). Even though he’s relatively new with Cincy SC, Coach Ross has already made a lasting impression with his players and other coaches. Coach Ross’ role will expand to include helping our boys coaches run sessions during the week and find ways to challenge our players to improve technically. Each week Ross will also create session plans that are shared with coaches & players.
We believe these changes are the next logical steps in the growth of the Cincy SC organization and each coach is very deserving of the expanded role. Please join me in celebrating these new leaders!
